Hirosaki City Apple Park is a scenic park dedicated to Aomori’s most famous fruit—the apple. Located about 20 minutes from central Hirosaki, the park features more than 2,300 apple trees with 80 varieties, offering apple-picking experiences, seasonal blossoms, and harvest activities. Visitors can also explore the Apple House, which showcases local apple products, souvenirs, and sweets. With Mt. Iwaki as a backdrop, it’s a beautiful spot to enjoy Aomori’s apple culture year-round.
From my experience, Ringo Curry or Ringo Ramen are absolute must-tries when you visit. And if Ringo Katsu is available, grab it right away—it sells out quickly. I missed out when I arrived around 2pm, so make sure to go earlier!
