Senjojiki Cirque in Nagano

The Senjojiki is a stunning cirque (a type of glacial basin) located in the Central Japanese Alps (Kiso Mountains), at an elevation of about 2,600 meters. It’s famous for its alpine views, with stunning flowers in the summer and stunning display of red, orange, and yellow hues as the alpine trees and shrubs change color in the autumn. It’s accessible via the Komagatake Ropeway.
