The Japan Meteorological Agency(JMA) announced that Japan has recorded its hottest summer since data began being recorded in 1898.
The average temperature for the three-month span from June to August was 1.76°C above the average temperature recorded between 1991 and 2020, according to the JMA.
The heat will continue until mid-September, so be sure to take all possible preparations for heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses when visiting Japan.
